  • Local Health Authority (Azienda USL della Romagna)
    The local health authority managing public health services in Ravenna. It provides family doctor and pediatrician selection, specialist visit and test booking, on-duty pharmacy information, and continuity of care (formerly medical guard).

  • Hospital Santa Maria delle Croci
    Ravenna’s main public hospital offering emergency care, surgical interventions, and specialist treatments.

  • Health Promotion and Prevention
    Immunization programs: public health campaigns and vaccination services to prevent disease and protect community health.
    Health education: workshops and informational materials to promote residents’ well-being.
  • Urgent Care Centres (CAU)
    Facilities open 7 days a week, with direct access and no appointment required, for low-complexity urgent needs. They offer medical consultations, certifications, on-demand pharmacological treatments, prescriptions, minor surgical procedures (sutures, dressings), and care for minor traumas. Basic services (consultation, ECG, some blood tests) are free for Emilia-Romagna residents; non-residents pay a € 20 fee for the consultation; any additional specialist exams are subject to the regional ticket system. All reports are uploaded to the Electronic Health Record.
